Upma – A Hearty Indian Breakfast Delight!

Upma is a savory dish made with semolina (rava) and a variety of spices, veggies, and a little love. It’s light yet filling, making it ideal for a nutritious start to your day. ☀️

Ingredients:

  • Semolina (Rava) – The star of the dish!
  • Fresh veggies (carrot, peas, beans) ???
  • Mustard seeds, cumin, ginger, and green chilies for that flavorful kick ?️

  • Fresh coriander to garnish ?

Recipe:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin, and a pinch of asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped veggies and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the rava and lightly roast until golden brown.
  4. Pour hot water (about 2 cups) and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Season with salt, sugar (optional), and a squeeze of lemon.
